since she "cut" her binky, Autumn hasn't been taking regular naps. in fact, she's hardly been taking naps at all. mostly because of me. before, i'd just scoop her up and plop her in the crib in which she'd then receive her binky. and that was basically that. since she said good-bye forever to her bink, i've tried to get her down for a few naps in her crib, but it's been a lot of work. well, a lot being relative, seeing as how before i hardly had to do a thing. i've tried lying down with her on my bed a handful of times; that usually works, but it takes her at LEAST ten minutes to stay holding still and thus begin to drift off to sleepy-land. and in the process, i usually end up asleep, which i don't want to have happen because i'd like to have a little bit of time to get things done w/o her around, especially once the boys get home from school. so, in order to keep her occupied, i (or Brandon) turn on something for her to watch. oftentimes she'll watch a show on the computer downstairs in the office (which helps the boys stay better focused on their homework in the kitchen). on the 4th, i think i had Ethan check on her (because she'll most likely holler at me from wherever she is to wherever i am to let me know the show is over) and he discovered Autumn like this... we thought it was funny--can you imagine sleeping in that position?!?...but oh!, i felt so bad for her--can you imagine sleeping in that position?!? geesh, i probably knew she was tired, but i didn't realize she was THAT tired!! am i a bad mom or what; too self-consumed and lazy to get my binky-less 3 year old down for a nap...!

oh my goodness. I love this! Kids can fall asleep anywhere in any position if they're tired enough. Autumn and Molly remind me of when i was little...i have pics of me sitting on the cat pulling it's ears apart! horrible, don't tell PETA..but, somehow we both survived. And i'm sure molly will too:)
Hey, I say (though, I only have a 3 month old) sometimes you just have to let them sleep wherever and whenever they may!
That's too cute. MJ had a hard time giving up her binky. Finally one time when Blake was going to Norway I told her daddy needed them so he wouldn't be home sick. She was ok w/that until he didn't come home w/them! He said some kids there needed them.......she still remembers and says she wants to go there and get them back one day! cute bloggin'! Been awhile, but it works now, so that's awesome.
