this past Christmas was challenging, but we still had a nice time together, and i still felt the spirit of the season. ...no one should have to say goodbye to their kids early Christmas afternoon for 7 days though...

we were so blessed by others' acts of kindness... someone left a box of presents, one for each of us, on our doorstep before Christmas. someone else did the 12 days of Christmas with us, leaving us a little something on our doorstep. another anonymously sent me a $100 Walmart gift card. and finally, one of my home teachers tried to secretly provide a handful of gifts per child, even including a couple unexpected ones for me! what a special experience!!
