my Missy started a little pre-school class on August 25th. [when did she become old enough for that??!] a neighbor friend asked me a while back if i'd be interested in doing a co-op pre-school, and since we could no longer afford the pre-school i'd signed her up for last fall/winter, i said yes-definitely! i'm quite thankful to her for tackling such a task as organizing such a thing. i was mostly in charge of putting together one for B years & years ago, and it was a lot of work! anyway, she's in a group with 5 other neighbor kids, she goes twice a week for an hour and a half, and she has LOVED it. today, she went to the Bean Museum since one of this week's topics was insects. she sounded thrilled when she told me about all the other animals she got to see too! (a side note: after finding out she was going to the museum on Tuesday, she regularly talked about how fun it would be, and asked if there would be fish every time she brought it up, and then she'd say she hoped there would be dolphins (and she mentioned whales a time or two) and that they'd feed them fish......i have NO idea where she got this from, but it has given me an itch to head to Sea World--where my kids have yet to go, along with Disneyland/World, etc.) next week is my first turn teaching. i'm actually a little nervous about it, though i don't know why. from what i hear, things have gone well thus far. perhaps i'll get back here with an update for you. if i can get more of my blogging "mo-jo" back. :-}
