09/09/09 proved lucky. He got a message that evening/night saying they were finally (I'm fairly certain that was the word they used) ready to make him an offer. (They'd called mid-afternoon, but he was up the canyon.) After being on the unpleasant--to put it mildly--roller coaster ride that they put him/us on for way too long, it is wonderful that they have come through for him/us in the end. SirsiDynix is the name, and support team will be his game. He was a little disappointed it's not the 2nd position he interviewed for, but only for a short moment. Our neighbor just up from us works there too, so they'll be able to carpool.
This has been a test of patience, faith and prayer. Speaking for myself, at least. I talked to the boys about it on Thursday evening, using it as a real-life example of how things sometimes go with prayers. Ethan said he wasn't sure if God answered prayers before, but now he knows. I said, you've gotten answers to your prayers before. He said, yeah, but this time I REALLY know. ...I left it at that.
Thanks for all of your thoughts, prayers and 'remembering' us at temples. Please don't cease just because he has a job. ;-}
