according to Autumn, Brian (Michael's best friend from growing up; he's my age and was my friend too) is her uncle. i'm not sure exactly when she came to this conclusion. but that is how it is now. maybe because he was so good about reading to her, playing with her and engaging in the random conversation that is the norm in her life. :) she already knew Michael was her uncle, but i don't think she really remembered the last time he (and Shelley and Shaelyn) was (were) here. i really don't think she remembered--or even knew, for that matter--what a blast he is. i think she expected more from him, since he IS her mom's brother, but i believe she was still pleasantly surprised. and Brian & his goodness was just a delightful (maybe a tad bit unexpected?) surprise that won him the same title as Michael! ;-) the boys too had a great time with Brian and Michael. i could see their reveling in the attention they gave them both. since they left, Ethan has said he wants to be "huge" (when we were talking about positive qualities) because he wants to be like his Uncle Mikey...and he knows he already resembles him, which i think he's secretly kinda proud of. anyway, i know for a certainty that me and the kids were quite sad to see them go...
game day 9/19, the game that Michael and Brian planned a trip around over a year and a half (right, Mikey?) ago...it's too bad that the FSU-haters/UF-lovers were so sorely disappointed!!

michael had a great time playing with the nieces and nephews too. and autumn is just such a cutey pa-tootey!
