During the week of the 11th through the 15th, Brandon and Ethan participated in a day camp offered through the city rec program. (They also did a week in June and a week in July.) They had been looking forward to this week for a while, since the theme was "Beach/Pirate Week". And they had a lot of fun, of course--just as they had during the other weeks. I thought their pirate body art was neat (on the 12th), so I told them I wanted to take their pictures. Brandon responded with, "no" but then said, "fine, but just don't BLOG about it..." :) I'm not sure why he was opposed; maybe he decided it was embarrassing or something. He did go right into the bathroom after I took his 'mug' and washed off his face art. Hmmmm... :) Ethan, on the other hand, liked his so much that he didn't want to wash his hands or take a shower for a couple of days!! I offered antibacterial hand wipes as an alternative since he needed to clean at least his hands somehow that day. Anyway, I'm glad we took advantage of those weekly summer camps; I don't know if we would've survived the summer otherwise! :)

this photo cracks me up because the 'mocking' face (he wasn't trying to make a pirate expression; he was just making a goofy face to be obstinate) along with the face art makes it a double hoot, i think! :)
