buildings...and the lack thereof

I couldn't get enough of the heights and architecture of the buildings...

Yes, more cool buildings in the background...BUT, if 9/11 had never happened, I wouldn't have been able to SEE those buildings. Behold, Ground Zero. not a lot to see right now from ground level, since it's a major construction zone still as they work on the memorial. It felt bittersweet being there--like something was missing, though i hadn't seen the towers in person...and like something was there; a special, sacred feeling.

I think this is a great photo, if I may say so myself. Hope you can see why I feel that way, and perhaps you'll even agree...
