Take Me Out To The Ball GameS...

Brandon began practices on April 22nd. He had two practices a week, usually, before his first game on May 14th. Now, he has one practice a week on top of games. Ethan's first practice was on May 12th. After only two practices, he had his first game on May 26th. Now, he doesn't have any practices, just games. No need to ever wonder where we are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings; we're at the ball fields by the elementary school in town...either running back & forth between the boys' games or attending one, then sticking around to attend another. It's craziness at moments, but being fans of baseball, we are content with devoting so much time to the boys' experiences. And Missy is thrilled to wander around & make new friends, which keeps me even crazier, tryin' to keep tabs on her on top of payin' attention to her brothers' games! (Peter is most likely being 1st base coach or hanging out by the dug-out of Brandon's team.)

This is B's 2nd season of playing kid-pitch. He's made a couple of hits, and he made a great catch last Thursday at 1st base to get the runner out.


This is the 1st season of coach-pitch for Ethan. He hasn't played since 2006, and that was t-ball. I wonder if he'll want to play next year, because that's when it it kid-pitch, and it becomes a little more intense. He has gotten a couple of hits. He was discouraged last game (May 28th) because he had to hit off the tee every at bat (after 7 or so coach pitches, they have them use the tee), and then once he got out at 1st base. Then, he had an awesome catch of a pop fly for the last out of the game. You should've seen how he beamed...! :)
