A Survior with "the" Survivor...

After some deliberation, I decided to go ahead and post about this little 'star-struck' moment my sister had since I thought it was pretty cool...perhaps to all but a few of you, it might seem insignificant & meaningless, and if so, oh well! :) .........Two Saturdays ago, in the late afternoon, when Jeanine was walking into Macey's (a grocery store) in Pleasant Grove, she realized all of a sudden ("oh my gosh") that Todd from Survivor: China was up ahead of her. At first, she decided to follow him around a little bit--trying to be inconspicuous--but then she told herself, "this is stupid" since she had stuff to get so she went to do that and later she saw him again so followed him for another minute (which who knows how long it actually was, since Jeanine is notorious for saying, "See ya in a minute" when we're leaving our house to go to hers and it actually takes about 40 minutes...and that's just one example of many times she says it) and then told herself, "this is dumb" so she got in line to check out and while she was waiting , she decided she should just go ask him for a picture for proof that she actually did see the reality TV star in 'small town PG'. So, when she got checked out before he did, and had to push her cart past his lane to exit the store, and he was being checked out right then, she stopped and asked if she could get a picture with him and he said, "Sure." She handed the guy with Todd her cell phone (which she already had in picture-taking mode) and he took their picture. Jeanine then said, "Thanks so much!" and Todd replied with a big smile, "No problem at all!" She texted the picture to a bunch of people, including me & Peter where we were eating dinner with the kids at Winger's in Spanish Fork before a BYU basketball game, and I was impressed, mumbling "COOL!!" as I stared a the picture on my phone. I really, really like the show. I've watched basically all of the 15 seasons of Survivor; I'm now enjoying its 16th season, Fans vs. Favorites. Jeanine hasn't watched as many seasons as me, but she has regularly watched the show for the past several years. Though Todd came off as annoying & rude at times, he was also very entertaining to watch and he played the gamed well...that's probably why he won the million dollars and the title of "sole Survivor"! :) So, though this may evoke a "who cares?!?" from most of you reading, Jeanine and I thought it was a big deal...and hey, I almost immediately began contemplating bloggin' about it, so I figured I oughtta ...!!!! :) Oh, if you know someone who watches the show, please give them the link to this page; they might just appreciate it! :) ......(Also, if you don't understand the title of this post, and I've peaked your interest, then email me and I'll 'splain it for ya!) :)
