WAY TO GO...!
Brandon scored his first-ever soccer goal at his game on Tuesday!!! ...This is his fourth season (and first spring season) of play, and he has come close a few times in the past to making a goal... As luck would have it, none of us were there to witness his achievement; Peter had left that morning to drive to Kentucky with his brother Brad and their dad (they're still driving) and I was at my Weight Watchers meeting with Ethan in tow (he listened to his CD player and read a book and ran across the street to return some library books) after I'd dropped Autumn off at my friend's house to play (after my meeting & Brandon's soccer game, we had to rush over to Cub Scout Pack Night at the church). ARGH! I feel bad. Brandon seems OK about it; seems content with my (and Peter's via the phone) praises. It's just yet another moment that I felt like a not-so-great mom...can anyone else sympathize??? (...Suppose my quick-temper is more of a problem/priority, huh...) Every day I try to do better; every day I screw up. LIFE!! ...Anyway, 'nough about me--wanted to share Brandon's good news! :)

I understand... I want to be at EVERYONE'S first anything :)But, know the goals will just keep on a coming and you can be at the rest :) Congrats to Brandon!
Don't beat yourself up. With three kids, there's no way you'll be everywhere all the time. But I'm sure you'll see the next one, because Brandon's going to be scoring lots of goals!
You're a good mom because you do feel bad about it and because you have been there for his other games. Your kids are super lucky to have you and Peter.
I missed Austin's first goal because of work :-( So I know how you feel. Just know that you can't be everywhere at once. You are a great mom April. Congrats to Brandon.
ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you're reading (brandon speaking)this is REALLY what happened,
i was dribbling the ball and i shot but the goalie got it, BUT he didn't have it fully in his hands so I went up and kicked in the net. The End.
