Ethan's 2nd lost tooth

Since Ethan lost his first tooth before I started blogging (October 29th, to be exact), I thought I'd go ahead and post about his second tooth lost... It was the 'center left, on the bottom' tooth that came out, the one next to it was the first one to go and already has the permanent tooth in its place. This 2nd tooth had been loose for a long while. There were a few times that I told him to let me wiggle it so I could feel how loose it was, and I was hoping/trying to actually pull it out! :) The permanent tooth has been in behind it for a few months. He didn't let me wiggle for very long at all when he would let me wiggle it; said he wanted it to fall out. Well, his wish came true! On Monday after school, he was eating an orange slice when he said, "OW" and then saw a teeny bit of blood dripping out of his mouth (he'd been leaning over so the juice of the orange would dribble on the plate, if there was any to dribble at all) and I asked, "did it come out??" as I went over to check him out...I told him that it was gone after looking in his mouth and semi-panicked for a split second, asking him, "did you swallow it????" Then a second later, we saw it on the plate; he'd spit some of the orange back out when he'd said, "OW"... I got excited--don't know why I think losing teeth is so cool--and put some pressure on the bleeding with a paper towel for several seconds, then let him go swoosh out his mouth with water since that's what he wanted to do. I kept asking him the rest of the day to show me his teeth so I could ogle at his gap and say, "COOOOLLLL!" :) I'd also either say or think that I surely hope his permanent tooth moves forward to get in place fairly straight! Anyway, he finally put his tooth in his 'tooth fairy' pillow (courtesy of my friend Mae) tonight--he and I both kept forgetting--so let's hope that she comes w/a nice sum of money... :) ......His 'upper, center right' tooth has been looking kinda snaggly since Christmas Day when Peter accidentally pulled the rope from his sled up into his mouth--they were on the sled together trying a trick of some sort. :) The gum looked a little bruised for a several days and his tooth looked like it might be ready to come out, but alas, it's still hanging there pretty tightly. It's a very sensitive area for him, so I think he's had trouble with brushing there...hence, the yellow-ish tint to his 2 front upper teeth, I think. :)

How much did the tooth fairy bring you?

Heidi had a tooth that was loose forever too. She got extra from the tooth fairy when it finally came out. Candace hasn't lost any yet.
