Josh...and a box

Jeanine and kids drove down here Sunday after church to hang out with us. ...I have noticed that even though Josh and Autumn play with the other kids, they sometimes do a lot of wandering... I think Josh wanders 'cause he's bored. He usually spends most of his time here on the computer, but since Jeanine was "hogging" :) the computer in the office and Peter's laptop was on the fritz, he did A LOT of wandering--for example, he went from the stool at the island to the IKEA chair in the family room to downstairs. Autumn probably wanders 'cause she's 2 and a half. :) She will play a little bit with Rylee (maybe with her baby dolls), then try to play (basketball) with Tyler and Brandon, then play (maybe hide-and-go-seek) with Rylee and Ethan. I don't remember exactly how it happened, but the two ended up playing with each other. It's not like this has never happened before; it just doesn't happen that often...especially as Josh has gotten more of a social life in the recent years. :) I can't recall the last time just the two of them played together for as long as they did. Anyway, they ended up in the living room and we have an ottoman in there that has a lid that can flip over to be a tray and that has room for storage or its "nesting" ottoman. As you can see, Autumn ended up inside the ottoman (say that seven times as fast as you can!) and after Josh carried her into the kitchen to show me, she wanted Josh to carry her downstairs to show Jeanine. It hit me that I wanted to capture the moment...how many more times will Josh & Autumn play together like that?...and since I was cleaning up after dinner, I asked Peter to take their picture... :) (I think Autumn is looking at Jeanine in the top photo and notice Josh's bulging arm muscle in the bottom photo--what a 'manly' teenager he's becoming! Hee!) I'm grateful for such a sweet nephew who, even at 13 and a half, happily plays with his youngest (local) girl cousin!!! I could tell by the sounds of it that Autumn was having a blast and loving the individual attention from her usually-otherwise-occupied oldest cousin!! Thanks, Josh!

FYI.........Jeanine, being the beginner blogger she is, accidentally left the above comment under my identity...and she meant to say, "isn't HE sweet?!?!" :)
