...to grandma & grandpa's house we went. the kids and i headed on up a short while (though it actually didn't feel that 'short' when we were locked out) after church on Sunday the 20th. since it was sprinkling most of the morning and afternoon, we went to a fun center that had a soft play area (it was more like an upscale McD's playplace). the kids LOVED it...

here you can see Autumn's pure delight.

quite the amusing shot, i think. :) she's been so excited this summer to have goggles like her brothers, but she's usually done with them fairly quickly.
my mom 'the swimmer' with Ethan and Autumn in the life-jackets the pool offers for free. they all, including Brandon just couldn't get enough! i was ready to leave long before they were...
thought this was a sweet photo...
she's just so absolutely ADORABLE!! :)
ditto the caption to the picture above! i think the hair in her eyes makes her look even cuter here... on Tuesday afternoon, we went up the canyon near my parents' house to play at the park, eat some snacks and hang out by the river. it was here that Ethan FINALLY mastered the 'pump your legs' skill on the swing--hooray! :) he was so discouraged and down on himself, but by the time we left, he was so pleased with himself.
the kids were having such a good time and we had extra clothes, so we ended up staying an extra night. since Eileen & kids came up that evening, they even got to play with their cousins...Autumn was especially elated to have Krista's constant attention. on our way back down to our house, we stopped by my friends (from AZ) Mae's & Rachel's houses. it was good to see them both again; it had been at least a year. i got got to meet Mae's baby boy (after 4 girls, like in my family) and i got to see how AMAZING Rachel looks after losing almost 100 pounds doing Weight Watchers--she's my inspiration! :) anyway, it was nice to "get the heck out of dodge" for a few days...thanks again to my mom & dad.

i want to go swimming! shaelyn is just learning how to not drown herself and let us hold her, so we haven't gone to the pool as much this summer as we thought. but seeing that clear water makes me want to jump right in.
Love the swimming pics! In my next life, I'm going to have an amazing pool to use, right in my own backyard! It's such a good way to get exercise too! I'd swim laps every day if I had access!
Such cute pictures! I love swimming!
