Farewell, DTI...
Peter is no longer an employee of Digital Technology International. He was laid off on Monday. Along with 50 others, company-wide. (About 25 are from his office.) I was stunned. I know these are difficult economic times. And I know things have been slower at work; he's not the only one who hasn't traveled in a long time. But, as far as I knew, things were going along generally OK. Apparently, Peter said that they'd been saying in past meetings that they were doing everything possible to avoid lay-offs. But ALAS, here we go again...Peter is jobless and job-hunting. It's such an unpleasant, uncomfortable state to be in. (He did receive about 8 weeks' worth of "severance", thankfully.) ......I'm not sure what else to say. I'll gladly answer any questions, so feel free to ask. ...Please keep us in your prayers. And please let us know of any job opportunities; he is applying all over...

So sorry to hear this. But I know Pete will find a new adventure very soon.
Hang in there. If you need any reconnaissance done in the Bay Area (although you're probably not looking for that dramatic a change), let me know.
I also recommend Pete get on LinkedIn if he hasn't yet - great resource.
