Rockefeller Center

this is why we wanted to go to NYC in December...!! i was enthusiastic about it, but Karyn was literally GIDDY! oh my...it was so, so surreal to finally be seeing the Christmas tree in person...and, OF COURSE, it was INCREDIBLE! so beautiful. i like how this photo depicts the dizzying feeling i had--the tree was SO tall and it had SO many lights on it, and there were SOOOOOO many people swarming all over the Center...it was such a cool experience! :)

this is the best picture that either Karyn or i got (this one Karyn took), and we had to literally shove our way to the edge of the overlook after waiting about five minutes for others to move. i don't understand people who hog in situations like those, but i also don't understand people who freak out about the hogs or the pushers when they purposely put themselves in a HUMONGOUS crowd!! but anyway...it was a thrill to see up so close for a minute or two! :)

look, i really was there.....!! :)

i know it's not crisp and clear, but i really like the motion it illustrates/evokes...
