the very best pizza!!! and two other photos.

this was another place on Jeanine's friend Angie's list, and my friend Alisa told me about it. Grimaldi's! ...what an adventure! it's been around for a long time, and despite its IMMENSE POPULARITY, they haven't moved to a bigger space or started a chain. SOOO, you have to wait outside 'til a group leaves and they can fit you in. seriously. crazy, yet fun!! :)

Andy and Karyn in line...at one point, we were muttering to ourselves, wondering if it was worth it (though she lives there, Andy hadn't been to it yet) to stand for so long, freezing (it was the coldest day we were there--probably only 'maybe-30' degrees here at about noon!). the guy standing in line (by himself) in front of us overheard and turned around to say, "OH YEAH...it is most definitely worth it." he was a local and had eaten there at least a few times. though we had to wait for an hour (possibly longer; i can't recall), and at moments, i thought my nose and ears were going to fall off, the line did start moving a bit more regularly...

...and once we got in, and dug in (once again, we were SO HUNGRY)...well, i'll use the word again...WOW!!!!!! it was amazing!!! hands down, the best pizza i've ever had...and kinda like with the cake, possibly the best i might ever have!! ...i had to take a picture of my unique beverage--yes, i'm weird :)--which was also very, very tasty.

after we walked & walked & walked (Andy & Karyn were lagging behind me, and though i was cold & sore, i pushed ahead at a faster pace; i was feeling the urgency to see as much as possible, because we were leaving the next day--and plus, i felt warmer [relatively speaking] walking at that speed)...and walked some more, we had made our way over to this building, which is one of the huge ones (i know, there are so many), and it's quite nice. but, there was a point to going there. Andy works for the company (in a more basic office building) and she wanted to show it, and it was on Karyn's list of things to see...Karyn's husband also works for the company. we did go inside, but not very far. the security guard wouldn't let us, even though Andy had her work ID. can't remember now what his reasoning was. Andy was really disappointed, since she said the main lobby is so pretty.

i had noticed the moon rising in between the buildings as we walked along, and thought is was neat-looking...something about it reminded me of how infintesmally small i am, in this city, but mostly in this universe. Karyn ended up grabbing my camera and taking this photo after i'd noticed it; she must've noticed it too.

Sounds good! I'm glad you didn't post a pic of the pizza... Then I'd be even hungrier!
