10%

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! (...I realize that's how I began my last post, but it's the most fitting for the opening of this post too...) I reached my ten percent weight-loss goal!!!!! I thought FOR SURE I was going to have yet another gain (I've gained a little the last 2 weeks--argh!) at yesterday evening's meeting because there were several times I ate too much this past week. So, I was completely SHOCKED to find out not only I had lost, but I had lost enough to surpass my 10% mark!!! :) What a wonderfully pleasant surprise, especially on such a crappy day!! I received another gold star--of course--AND a pretty neat lookin' bronze key ring...yippee for me! :) I'd been feeling easily discouraged with my progress off and on over the past month, and though I can sit here and think to myself that I could've/should've reached this goal 3 weeks ago, I'm not going to...I'm feeling better now and I'm going to keep my focus on the future. It's taking me longer than I'd like to learn some lessons pertaining to my eating habits, but that's kinda the way it's always been for me when it comes to learning lessons in life. And since this is a lifestyle change and not a diet, well--I think you know what I'm tryin' to say. Anyway, Ethan and Autumn even got to see me receive my award--hopefully they could tell how happy I was, since Ethan was listening to his iPod Shuffle and I don't think Autumn could really understand what was being said. (Brandon was at his baseball game; we had to leave it in the middle of the 2nd inning to get to my mtg.) Oh, my paper clip chain is starting to look long...hee! Might seem like such silliness, but all these things have helped me quite a bit. ...Well, I just wanted to share my exciting news... :)
