a hit

Brandon got a hit at tonight's make-up game since last Thursday it was too wet from the above average amounts of rain we've been having.  (Not complaining, mind you.  The rain means cooler temperatures which I like and it saves me from having to drag the sprinkler around the yards to water the grass, etc.  I do think I might suffer from SAD; too much gray/cloudy/rainy and I start to feel dismal.)  Anyways, he hit it about mid-way down the 3rd base line, and he was able to outrun the throw to 1st base.  Might not sound like that big of a deal, but Brandon's team was being 'whomped up' on by the Yankees (eeeww) for the 2nd time this season and only a FEW others on his team got on base via a hit the whole game.  He got to 3rd base before their team earned 3 outs and it was time to play in the field again.  Hopefully this is the start to 'a hit a game' for Brandon for the rest of the season! :)  Go Cardinals!!
