It's that time of year again. This season is different though. Brandon's 'graduated' from coach-pitch and now plays with an "official" umpire (a teenager) and for at least an hour and a half. (Good thing school's out now for those 7pm games that start late.) So far, the season has consisted mostly of walking batters and stealing bases. There is a 6 run limit, so that the at-bat team can't stay at-bat excessively long. (Definitely a good thing for his last game; as it was, the other team won 21-1, I think I heard. I'm thinking that the talk of going to state won't pertain to Brandon's team; they seem to be the underdogs so far, only winning one game. And unfortunately, it is more about the winning this season.) Brandon has yet to get a hit or be a part of a successful play--not that he's really had an opportunity for the latter--but he has stolen a base or two..and had fun playing catch behind the dugout and throwing balls for his teammates to hit and hitting balls his teammates throw for him. He's played center and right fields, as well as 2nd base. ...Here's to a more exciting rest-of-the-season for Brandon...!

taken on May 27th...hadn't gotten him new baseball pants yet (he grew out of last season's)...he usually isn't this "ready" especially in the outfield; he gets distracted because it gets boring :)
